Paladin des Ifs

Chestnut French warmblood stallion Paladin des Ifs, born 1981 sired by Uriel out of the mare Lutine de Ifs who is a daughter of Quastor. Paladin des Ifs (born on April 20, 1981, dead in april 2006) is a chestnut stallion of the French Selle francais breed, son of Uriel . A winner in the show jumping arena, he later became a renowned breeder.
Paladin Des Ifs
Paladin des Ifs was born on April 20, 1981, in the breeding of Jules Pinteaux, in Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue in the Manche . Jean-Louis Roudaut discovered it at a horse dealer, Gilbert Lefebvre, at the age of three. Convinced that this horse is a future champion, he goes into debt for the equivalent of 35,000 euros to buy it. At the start of his training, Paladin des Ifs only accepts free jumping. At the age of five, he took fourth place in the classic cycle, and successfully completed eleven courses. It also shines in model competition and allures.

Jean-Louis Roudaut therefore received numerous offers to buy, but refused to sell his horse. He gets help from his friends, especially Karmitz, who help to create a union of co-owners of which remain majority shareholder.

Paladin des Ifs won the Critérium des cavaliers in 1991 and several races in the Nations Cup in 1992, he was then elected "horse of the year".

Paladin des Ifs is a Selle French stallion with a golden chestnut color, measuring 1.70 m 1 . He is renowned for his great presence, the large size of his legs, and his shaggy mane . He has a scar on his left shoulder. He is known to have had difficulty cohabiting with other horses.

He reached an ISO (show jumping index) of 183 in 1992

He died of a cardiac arrest in 2006, at the age of 25 years 4 , at the Haras des Isles at the end of April.
